Naming colorblindness as an aspect of mainstream American culture and exploring who it benefits and what it costs.
Considering the messages we have received about how our own race and other identities matter, and the messages we communicate to students.
Defining racism, intersectionality, and other vocabulary for growing our racial literacy.
Identifying microaggressions and practicing responses.
Learning about meaningful actions we can take in our spheres of influence.
Modeling methods and activities for engaging students in this work.
